Helen Keller International (HKI) is an International non-profit organization (INGO) working in health and nutrition in Nepal since 1989 working to improve the nutritional status of women and young children through evidence-based research and programs. IT Officer (no.1), based in Kathmandu
Summary of Job Purpose: IT Officer will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the smooth operation of Helen Keller Intl’s Information Technology services and systems including computers, networks, storage, internet and intranet connectivity, software applications, and server systems.
S/he will be responsible for the operation, development and support of several Management Information Systems and Applications ensuring proper planning and organization of information security, disaster recovery and backup system in ICT. The job profile includes 40% software development, 40% tech support, and 20% server and network administration.
Educational qualifications and experiences: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, or Information Management, or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science/IT degree;
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience preferably in INGOs and/or job profile with at-least one certification course in IT; computer and IT troubleshooting, programming and software application development (past experience in Laravel and Node.js is a must); knowledge of mobile app development;
Experience in Windows and Linux server systems, Microsoft 365 and SharePoint, helpdesk systems (other preferred skills include Hybrid cloud computing, ASP.net and several Microsoft enterprise technologies)
